Josie Fanelli

Josie Fanelli began working at Kurt Sauer Opticians (KSO) in 1982 as a receptionist while still attending high school. Josie continued to work at KSO on weekends and after school making the decision that she would become an optician. Kurt Sauer, the previous owner and a very well respected optician took her under his wing and taught her to be the finest optician. Josie apprenticed with Kurt for two years and then attended Brooklyn Technical College to study opticianry. After graduating in 1989 she sat for her New York State Boards and became a licensed optician. In 1993 Josie Fanelli took over the business from Kurt Sauer and has been enjoying a fabulous career ever since.
